Simon and Garfunkel Live
Bookends, the UK’s finest tribute to Simon and Garfunkel are usually seen taking to the stage with no more than a guitar upon which to lay their harmonies. However, for just a handful of special shows old friends, Dan Haynes and Pete Richards will be bringing along with them a full band of musicians to perform their greatest hits show, Simon and Garfunkel Live.
Bookends reformed early in 2012 and have since been delighting audiences with their Through the Years acoustic show. Having spent many years singing close harmony together their voices blend perfectly to create what many have said to be an uncanny likeness to the original sound.
“Closing your eyes you could really believe that was Simon and Garfunkel”
Uncanny maybe their recreation of the sound but, there is nothing uncanny in their look and they make no attempt to hide this. Bookends are, as they describe themselves “a tribute to the wonderful music of Simon and Garfunkel” and waste no time in trying to be the American stars. Their tribute is born out of a mutual love of the music and this shows in every performance the duo makes.
Now with a full line up of musicians to back their already impressive repertoire, Simon and Garfunkel Live will bring hits like Mrs Robinson, The Boxer, Homeward Bound and Hazy Shade of Winter to life and reminds us, once again why Simon and Garfunkel are considered one of the greatest folk rock duos.
“Bookends, a must see musical experience”
