Railwaylive presents : JOHN RENBOURN
Founder member of the legendary PENTANGLE, John is a virtuoso guitarist playing a fusion of ragtime, jazz, country, blues, classical, mid-European and pre-Renaissance music.
His collaboration with the incredible Bert Jansch is also the stuff of Folk Music legend but while most commonly labelled a folk musician, Renbourn’s musical tastes and interests take in early music, classical music, blues and world music. His most influential album, Sir John Alot (1968), featured his take on songs from the Medieval era.
