Britain’s No 1 Jive and Swing band!

The Jive Aces might have formed over two decades ago, but it was in 2012 that they truly captured the nation’s imagination, becoming the first band ever to reach the semi-final of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, performing in front of the Queen on her Diamond Jubilee tour, and taking part in celebrations for both the Olympics and the Paralympics.

So what’s all the fuss about then? In a nutshell, the Jive Aces mash together a delirious combination of old-style swing, jive, R’n’B and rock and roll to create the ultimate high-energy, high-octane stage show! Playing songs made famous by the likes of Louis Prima, Cab Calloway, Bobby Darin, Louis Armstrong and Sammy Davis Jnr along with a selection of superb swinging originals from their seven studio albums.

They’re also – surely – the only band ever to have been prescribed as a treatment for the winter blues! When Sally Schneider, of Seattle, visited Dr Wallace R Hodges last December, he recommended she watch The Jive Ace’s video for their version of Morecambe & Wise’s Bring Me Sunshine as an instant mood-lifter.
