Mr Potsunen is a gentleman of loneliness who is extremely serious about totally unimportant things. In his world of highly stylised art, everything is funny, beautiful and perhaps a bit peculiar for you.
The award winning Japanese comedian, playwright and performing artist, Kentaro Kobayashi is finally coming to London to unwrap Mr Potsunen's peculiar slice of life. Kentaro's theatrical works have been so popular that in Japan you have to win the right to buy the ticket in a drawing. Besides his works on stage, he has collaborated to create a number of short films introducing Japanese tradition with quite some humour. In 2013, the documentary 'The Art of Laughter' (by NHK) featuring his journey toward the production in Europe has won Creative Excellence award in US International Film and Video Festival.
The solo show Potsunen, directed and performed by Kentaro himself is one of his three popular production series including comedy duo RAHMENS and theatre production K.K.P.
Potsunen's acts without words explore unique forms of art on a theatrically crafted stage, dazzling audiences with manga style illustrations and witty stage tricks. Potsunen's tour in France in 2012 was enormously successful and he is returning by requests of audiences, before his first visit in London.
