The night of July 10th is a night of premieres at Ageas Cooljazz. After the confirmation of Chaka Khan - A Celebration Of 50 Years In Music, appears another first for the festival´s 20th anniversary edition: the British Morcheeba.

One of Europe´s most mythical and impactful bands takes the stage at Ageas Cooljazz where they present a sound based on jazz, R&B, trip-hop, folk-rock, rock and pop. The English group emerged in the second half of the 1990s and recently released “Blackest Blue” (their tenth album, out in May 2021), where they take a deeper journey into the mixtures of musical genres they have explored throughout their career. “The Sea” and “Rome Wasn’t Built in a Day” are some of the great successes recognized around the world.

On the same night, the premiere of Chaka Khan - A Celebration Of 50 Years In Music. “I´m Every Woman”, “Ain’t Nobody” or “Tell Me Something Good” are some of the of the timeless classics that the artist presents on this journey through her career. The artist navigates between jazz, soul, r&b, funk and hip-hop, and arrives in Cascais in the emblematic year of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of her career.

Actress, songwriter, produce, writer and an inescapable figure in world music, Rock, and Roll Hall of Fame 2023 has released 12 albums and won 10 Grammys. Complimented by Aretha Franklin, Miles Davis and by the R&B/Soul pioneer Stevie Wonder, the artist has as references artists such as Sarah Vaughan, Joni Mitchell. Contemporary artists such as Mary J. Blige, Erykah Badu, Janelle Monae, Lizzo and Sam Smith quote Chaka Khan as one of their musical influences.

The 2024 edition of Ageas Cooljazz has a lineup that travels through the festival’s history, on the same year that celebrates the 20 year anniversary. The already confirmed artists are Air (July 9th), Chaka Khan e Morcheeba, one night two concerts (July 10th), Dino D’Santiago and MARO, one night two concerts (July 19th), Diana Krall (July 26th), Marina Sena and Luedji Luna, one night two concerts (July 27th), Fat Freddy’s Drop (July 30th), Jamie Cullum and Inês Marques Lucas (July 31st) and much more to announce soon.

20 years Ageas Cooljazz. 20 years Ageas Cooljazz. The Live Experiences presents the Ageas Cooljazz first edition in 2004, a summer festival that is different. As the years went by, so did the iconic concerts, artists were born at the festival, and the audience became more surrendered to artistic criteria, as well as the comfort of the space. The Ageas Cooljazz became unquestionably one of the most important cultural events in Portugal, assuming their differentiation from year to year and focusing on what sets you apart: a unique cultural lineup, the unique beauty of green spaces, enjoying the architectural landscape, the comfort of having a market sit in a summer festival and the focus in the sustainability since from the first hour of his birth. The Live Experiences is proud of the 20 years of Ageas Cooljazz, with many stories and much to do.

The Live Experiences, which celebrates 25 years of foundation, has been the festival producer for 20 years and continues to provide unique experiences and emotions to spectators and partners, investing in vibrant and sustainable projects.
