Tallulah Guard returns to the Lions Den headling a hugely exciting evening of music showcasing some of the best songwriters around.

Tallulah
Guard (they/them) has been writing songs since childhood and playing guitar since they were 14. Having moved from London to Manchester in 2019 to study Social Anthropology, they got stuck into the open mic scene.

Their first handful of singles chart a course of artistic and personal development. Tallulah started hitting their stride this year with "Burn" - a fizzy, moreish exploration of self-sabotage that landed them their first spin on BBC Introducing Manchester.

With an ability to fuse introspection and catchy melodies, they draw on elements of folk, alternative rock and pop, crafting songs that get under your skin. Tallulah’s distinctive voice and lyrical depth create a profound connection with their audience.

First appearing on the Manchester music scene in 2019, Anyone’s Ghost makes a large impact with a delicate sound, her solemn songs touching on themes of death, romance, mystery and murder. The solo project of local songwriter Wanda Roslyn, Anyone’s Ghost was born from the influence of dark folk and indie rock, encompassed in poetic lyricism and an affection for literature. Usually wielding an acoustic guitar and a multitude of effects pedals, Wanda is able to capture attention from the get-go with haunting vocals, melodic guitar work and a soundscape formed with intensity and emotion.

With the addition of Max Macmillan on keys and guitar, the three-piece have been able to bring this to the stage, having performed multiple headline slots across Manchester over the last two years, including an album launch on the 20th of July 2023 at Band On The Wall; they have been making waves in the city and garnering attention and audiences from all across the North West.

Rooted in and ever inspired by blues, soul and folk, Eleanor is a Liverpool-based singer/songwriter, originally from Luxembourg. Her sole aim is to sing you into your feelings of heartbreak, hope and everything in between. Local and Live media referred to Rescuer Syndrome as “beautifully delicate, painfully honest- and perfectly Eleanor”.

Rescuer Syndrome and Lost Cause, her newest singles, are a lens on Eleanor’s storytelling with stripped back production to echo the emotion of the lyrics. Throughout the winter and spring of 2024, she is embarking on her ‘Winter Things Tour’ across various spots in the U.K.
