Electronic meets classical in this genre-bending live performance from the Detroit techno pioneer. Carl Craig continues to stretch the boundaries of techno as he joins forces with Chineke! Orchestra and award-winning pianist Kelvin Sholar to perform his 2017 album Versus in its entirety alongside a selection of his greatest hits. This groundbreaking fusion of electronics and orchestra will include iconic tracks At Les, The Melody and Sandstorms. A creative visionary, world-class DJ, composer and ambassador for his native Detroit, Carl Craig is famously known for his innovative approach to electronic music. The Chineke! Orchestra is the Chineke! Foundation's flagship ensemble and Europe's first majority-BME orchestra. Their mission is to 'champion change and celebrate diversity in classical music'. This special night is one of the headline events of the Royal Albert Hall's 2019 Love Classical season, which celebrates some of the most distinctive and original voices in classical music today.
